The painting that created this work meant a lot to me, and it also changed over time. It began as a statement of the fluidity of water and its reflections. I began with layers and layers of mud, got deep and dirty with the acrylics and the watercolour. i painted and explored deeper still and it became what is was always meant to be; that in chaos there is beauty. That in the storm there is perfection. That in the wild, there is ease. So much is going on in our world, in our lives, in our lifetime. So much that if you pay attention to even a fraction of it at all times, it is daunting...beyond daunting. But pause, be still. This morning I woke up and the first thing I did, thanks to having dogs, is walk out the back door into the dewy grass. I took in the spring birds, the wet grass smell, the water ripples caused by the lightest of rain. I took in my dogs and how they literally never stop living in joy. I took in the real world, the beauty, the calm, the wind, the air. 

We weren't meant to live like this, in this madness and GO. Please use this scarf or the print, or even just the image of it to tap into what really is, what we really should be seeing and doing. Just BE. Smell the air, hear the birds. Experience the feel of wet grass under your feet.
